In this blog post, I’ll summarize my experiences, focusing on my academic efforts and school activities during high school, examples of compassion, sharing, and collaboration, as well as my motivation for applying and my career preparation process.

Academic Experiences and Reflections

After entering high school, I learned the hard way that sheer determination alone doesn’t produce results. Although I wanted to do well in my studies, my efforts weren’t backed by action in the beginning, so my grades didn’t improve. From that point on, I resolved to “put my plans into action.”
The first step I took was to delve deeply into my textbooks. I realized that solving many problems without a solid grasp of the basic concepts would be inefficient, so I shifted my study approach to thoroughly understanding and memorizing every single sentence in the textbook—even if it meant progressing more slowly than others.
Although this method might seem somewhat old-fashioned, my tenacity was my strength. I continued my studies by first fully mastering the textbook and then using reference books and problem sets to develop my application skills. Throughout this process, I managed my time rigorously—cutting back on sleep and even using my breaks for studying.
As a result of my consistent efforts, my grades improved enough to overcome my anxiety about starting late, and I achieved results that allowed me to consider applying for early admission. Once I set my sights on early admission, I began consulting with my teachers more frequently and devoted time to related studies to reflect on myself and clarify my dreams and goals.
Although I didn’t have a clear goal when I entered high school, I overcame my lethargy by immersing myself in my studies with the mindset of “never doing anything in life that I’ll regret,” and I experienced the satisfaction of achieving results through action. Moving forward, I will set goals and consistently work toward them to ensure I never fall back into lethargy.

Description of Major School Activities and Reflections

Having been interested in cars since I was young, I joined the model car club as soon as I entered high school and began my activities. Moving beyond simply assembling models as a hobby to seriously engaging in design and fabrication, I faced many difficulties and failures at first.
However, as I went through trial and error, I felt a sense of joy and personal growth whenever a model moved exactly as I had designed it. Through this design process, my interest in the materials, technology, components, driving characteristics, and design of cars grew, and I set a new goal: to go beyond model cars and learn the skills to design and build actual cars that people can ride in.
Thanks to a school recommendation, our club earned the opportunity to participate in a corporate-sponsored model car competition. After passing the preliminary and final rounds, we held numerous meetings during the two-day, one-night competition to discuss functionality, body design, driving stability, and aesthetics.
In particular, defining the “keywords” for our build was crucial. Our team set the goal of creating a car that was “beautiful, lightweight, and fast,” and we established a design direction that maximized lightness without sacrificing design competitiveness. As we repeatedly refined our design based on this goal, we experienced countless failures, and cold sweat would sometimes break out when the car unexpectedly stopped during a run.
After pulling all-nighters with my teammates to research and implement technology while continuing our brainstorming sessions, we achieved excellent results in the finals and even received tickets to attend a WRC race as a prize. This experience confirmed that I could achieve something by giving it my all, even if it meant putting my studies on hold for a while, and it served as an opportunity to strengthen my confidence and passion for automotive technology.

Writing About Examples of Consideration, Sharing, and Cooperation, and My Reflections

When pranks became so severe that they threatened to ruin the class atmosphere, I felt that, as class president, I couldn’t just stand by and watch. The mischievous behavior of a few friends caused conflict between our homeroom teacher and the rest of the class, and the atmosphere became strained.
The students who had played the pranks were reluctant to reflect on their actions due to pride, but I met with them privately to have a sincere conversation. Through our talk, I realized that even though they didn’t seem to be reflecting on the surface, deep down they felt sorry toward the teacher and their classmates, so I convinced them that having the courage to apologize was more important than the impulsiveness and pride of adolescence.
Their sincere apologies were conveyed to the teacher the very next day, and the teacher accepted their sincerity. The other students also accepted the apology, and the tension naturally eased; we reached a point where we understood each other’s feelings without needing to speak. Through this experience, I learned that sincerity and empathy are the most powerful tools for resolving conflicts.

Efforts and Preparation Related to Motivation for Application and Career Plans

My experience with model car activities and competitions solidified my conviction to pursue a career in automotive technology. Going beyond a simple hobby, the knowledge I gained through the design and fabrication processes laid the foundation necessary for building and improving real cars.
While preparing for the competition, I developed collaboration skills and practical thinking through the process of setting technical goals, analyzing problems, and finding solutions. Furthermore, with the goal of applying for early admission, I worked with my teacher to clarify my career path and set aside dedicated time to study relevant subjects.
Moving forward, I aim to build upon this experience to gain deeper expertise in the field of smart cars and develop the ability to apply this knowledge in practical settings. Just as I overcame apathy through consistent learning and practice, I will set clear goals and prepare methodically to become a leader in the field of automotive technology.
